a) Davis Brown Limited is firm regulated by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and is an RICS Registered Firm for the purposes of the RICS Client Money Protection Scheme for Surveying Services.
b) All Client Money entrusted to the care of Davis Brown is held in a Client Money Account with Allied Irish Bank (GB) Limited at 202 Finchley Road, London NW3 6BX.
c) Client Money Accounts operated by Davis Brown are clearly designated as such and are distinguished from all other bank accounts held by Davis Brown.
d) We will advise all of our Clients that Client Money will be held in a Client Money Account and we will provide details of that account.
e) Allied Irish Bank (GB) Limited acknowledges that monies in the Client Money Accounts operated by Davis Brown must not be combined with or transferred to any other account maintained by Davis Brown and the Bank shall not be entitled to exercise any right of set off or counter-claim against money in that Client Money Account in respect of any sum owed to it in respect of any other account of Davis Brown.
f) Davis Brown maintains records and accounts showing all dealings with Client Money and is able to demonstrate that all Client Money held by the Firm is held in a Client Money Account.
g) Davis Brown holds and maintains Professional Indemnity Insurance cover appropriate to the size, income and type of work undertaken by the Firm and the amount of Client Money held by it.
h) Davis Brown maintains controls to ensure segregation of duties and responsibilities among Employees involved with the handling of Client Money. The Client Accounting function is overseen by Principals of the Firm. Staff responsible for processing Clients Money are familiar with RICS Rules relating to holding Clients Money.
i) Accounting systems and Client Data are securely controlled and protected and computing systems are adequately protected for access, firewalls, back-ups and disaster recovery.
